The Research and Planning of our Music Video

                    The song that we were given was of the R&B genre so my group each started naming artists that we listen to that are similar to the song Shai - If I Ever Fall In Love. We started naming artists like Frank Ocean, and Bruno Mars. We then started looking up music videos of Frank Oceans and started to get inspiration. After seeing many of the music videos of Frank Ocean we decided to make our music video with similar elements.

                    After getting inspiration from Frank Ocean we started brainstorming as a group what storyline we wanted to have for the music video. We decided to make it seem like a breakup gone terrible and the guy who got broken up with is writing a love song for her. He is taking the breakup very badly and is reminiscing about the good times in the relationship and how they were so much in love. 

                  What is next with the group is that we are going to meet up this weekend and start filming. Nicole is going to be in charge of the filming as I and Fabianna are going to act as the broken-up couple. Sami is also going to help out with the filming and audio portion of the film. We are going to film at the house of Fabianna because her house matches what we need in a film. For example, we want the broken-up guy to look outside and see a happy couple on the sidewalk and her house fits that perfectly.

Why Super Hero Movies Are So Popular

 

Action Movies

Super Hero movies have been around for decades but the formula has stayed relatively the same. It starts with a backstory as to why the superheroes became the hero and the purpose as to why he fights villains. It then leads to him meeting up with a team of side characters which aids the main hero to defeat the villain. Once the villain and the hero finally meet up they exchange words and fight which is the climax movie and the villain either gets defeating or escapes for another movie.

Genre conventions – production techniques
The movie's color schemes depending on the production can either be gritty or the can be colorful. For example, the DC movies have more of a gritty filter while Marvel movies have a more colorful filter with a brighter more happy color palette.

These superhero movies are usually marketed to kids, teens, and to adults as a movie you can see with the whole family. Since the Movies are family-friendly most of the time they can market to a wide variety of people. Their main targets are teens and pre-teens as they can see the movie with their friends on their own.

Iron Man is a great example of the genre embodiment as it follows the superhero formula perfectly. The beginning talks about his backstory and as to why he is doing what he is doing he then defeats the villain.

Spider-man Homecoming is another great example of a film that embodies the genre as it firsts starts off with him at his high school and on a school field trip to Italy and there he meets his villain Mysteriowhich he battles in various locations. It ends with him defeating Mysterio but Mysterio exposes Spiderman to the whole world which entails that there will be another movie.
